Unique Synchronized Adjustment of Convergence and Parallax for high quality, stereoscopic fundus images through any pupil size. Precise selection of
the observation and illumination optics for small pupils down to 1.0 mm.
Excellent optical performance due to the multi-coated illumination system. Exact vertical alignment of the illumination with the observation path further minimizing the reflections.
Due to the mounting of the optics on an aluminum frame, the OMEGA 500 is solid, long lasting, and is guaranteed to be dustproof.
The HC 50L Headband Rheostat controls the LED illumination as well as the XHL Xenon-Halogen illumination.
Illumination
Every HEINE instrument with LEDHQ is developed in such a way that it delivers optimal illumination for the application in question. Depending on the application, the instrument is either preset or the brightness can be steplessly adjusted. In an ophthalmological examination, for instance, the patient can be examined with the lowest possible brightness, but the best possible diagnosis can still be made. The result is evenly distributed illumination from edge to edge, without distracting reflections, shadows, bright or dark spots.

Working in perfect balance – The aim of the OMEGA500 headband: maximum wearing comfort. The inclined overband reduces downward force which relieves strain on your neck muscles. The strong, malleable material and padding form to your anatomy for a soft, secure fit without pressure points.
INTUITIVE OPERATION AND FEATURES – The ergonomically arranged controls for the selection of apertures and filters are equipped with soft-touch surfaces and are easily adjusted while wearing the instrument. Exclusive locking mechanisms will keep your controls in the desired position, protecting against accidental changes, but will disengage without taking off the instrument. The cables are integrated in the headband and contribute to a safe handling and operation.
