The IOLMaster 700 device is a combined biometry instrument for the visualization of eye structures and acquisition of data of the human eye required for the calculation of the intraocular lens to be implanted. The device is capable of consecutive measurement of the following eye parameters in one session: axial length,
corneal curvatures, corneal thickness, anterior chamber depth, lens thickness and WTW distance. All measurements are non-contact, providing excellent patient comfort.

Directly measure the posterior corneal surface
The IOLMaster 700 from ZEISS with Swept Source OCT technology now allows you to directly measure the posterior corneal surface. It combines unique telecentric keratometry measurement of the anterior corneal surface with measurement of the posterior corneal surface in order to calculate Total Keratometry (TK).

Total Keratometry: replacing assumptions with measurements
The Total Keratometry (TK) of ZEISS IOLMaster 700 allows you to directly measure the posterior corneal surface using SWEPT Source OCT. In a study the exclusive Barrett True K with TK formula improved the outcome prediction compared to the Barrett True K with Classic Ks within ±0.5 D by >12 % (p = 0.04) in post-myopic LASIK eyes.
How is Total Keratometry different?
Total Keratometry differs from most established methods for total corneal power assessment. It considers corneal thickness and posterior corneal curvature in addition to the anterior corneal curvature measurements. It combines the proven and trusted telecentric 3-Zone Keratometry of the ZEISS IOLMaster 700 with its patented SWEPT Source OCT Cornea-to-Retina Scan (Akman A., Asena L., Güngör SG. 2016; Srivannaboon S. et al. 2015; Kunert KS. et al. 2016). This way, each eye’s posterior curvature is considered individually rather than based on general model eye assumptions. Because of this, outliers in IOL calculation can be minimized. Total Keratometry has been designed by ZEISS optical engineers to match the Gullstrand ratio in normal eyes. However, it still is capable of detecting the impact of posterior astigmatisms in individual eyes, such as eyes with post corneal laser vision correction. This is how Total Keratometry values differ from the many total cornea values provided by other instruments.

Detect unusual eye geometries and visually verify your measurements
The patented Cornea-to-Retina Scan allows you to detect unusual eye geometries, such as tilt or decentration of the crystalline lens. Additionally, the complex interpretation of A-scans is no longer necessary.
Measurement in less than 45 seconds
With ZEISS IOLMaster 700, you can measure both eyes in less than 45 seconds. Alignment assistance functions make the results largely independent of the user and therefore easy to delegate.
Cataract penetration up to 99 %
A comparative clinical study with more than 1,200 eyes showed that ZEISS IOLMaster 700 achieves a cataract penetration rate of up to 99%. As a result, the number of ultrasound cases can be reduced by 92%, saving you valuable time.
